RECOMMENDED that under Section 100A of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press & public be excluded from the meeting on the grounds that it is likely to discuss exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of the Act.

Appointment of Permanent Section 151 Officer and Related Senior Management Arrangements

Minutes:

RESOLVED

 

That Full Council be recommended to:

 

1)    Note that Full Council on 21 May 2025 approved interim arrangements for the statutory Section 151 Officer role, appointing Clare Harper as Acting Section 151 Officer.

 

2)    Support the Chief Executive’s proposal that Clare Harper be designated as the Council’s permanent officer responsible for the proper administration of the Council’s financial affairs in accordance with Section 151 of the Local Government Act 1972.

 

3)    Endorse that the permanent post be styled Chief Finance Officer.

 

4)    Approve the permanent appointment of Clare Harper with the agreed job title styling.
