To appoint a Chair for this particular panel meeting.

RESOLVED that Cllr Sylvia Walmsley be appointed as Chair for the Panel meeting.

The Evacuation Procedure was noted.

There were no declarations of interest.

To approve the minutes of the last meetings held on 21 June 2024 and 24 June 2024.

AGREED That the minutes of the meetings held on 21 June 2024 and 24 June 2024 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

RECOMMENDED that under Section 100A of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the press & public be excluded from the meeting on the grounds that it is likely to discuss exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of the Act.

The Panel considered a report seeking approval for the temporary designation of the statutory role of Director of Adult Social Services (DASS) to the Assistant Director of Adult Social Care, for the duration of the absence of the substantive postholder.

RESOLVED

(1)  That the temporary designation of the Assistant Director of Adult Social Care as the statutory Director of Adult Social Services (DASS), and Caldicott Guardian, for the duration of the absence of the Director of Adults, Health and Wellbeing, be approved.

(2)  That the temporary arrangements are reviewed on a regular basis as required by the Chief Executive and, as a minimum, at least every two months.
