Decision:

Subject to the statutory consultation process, approve a permanent Traffic Regulation Order amendment to reduce the length of the daytime (4am to 6pm) loading bay on the east side by 6 metres to create a gap/aisle and to implement new no waiting with no loading 4am to 6pm in the gap created to keep the area clear.
Also, to update the drawing associated with the current traffic Order for Yarm High Street to reflect the new parking layout associated with the public realm works.

Reasons for the decision:

The proposals are in response to reported issues at the loading/taxi bay on the east side to clarify appropriate use and also to reflect the public realm changes to the parking layout needed to provide more planting and seating spaces and improve connections to the river. The proposals are being funded as part of the Levelling Up Fund secured from central Government in 2021.
