Subject to the statutory consultation process,
approve a permanent traffic Order for various restrictions
associated with the ongoing works for the Stockton waterfront urban
park including; combining no loading/waiting at anytime
restrictions into a single Order using updated legislation on the
new road alignment, a prohibited right turn in/out of Quayside
Road, revocation of limited waiting / Blue Badge holder bays being
removed from the west side, a reduction to single carriageway where
the centre reserve is physically removed plus a closure of
redundant gaps (prohibition of driving) in the original centre
reserve.
The proposals are required to ensure the safe
operation of the realigned and narrowed highway as part of the
approved Stockton waterfront development plans.
