Subject to the statutory consultation process, approve the implementation of a permanent Traffic Regulation Order amendment on the south side of North Shore Road in Stockton to reduce the length of the limited waiting bay on the west side of the Millennium Drive junction by 6 metres and extend the length of the limited waiting bay by 6 metres on the east side. Also, to extend the existing no waiting at anytime restrictions by 6 metres on the west side and reduce the no waiting at anytime restrictions on the east side.

Reasons for the decision:

The proposed Traffic Order is in response to road safety concerns for drivers exiting Millennium Drive due to the road alignment and vehicles parking in the marked bays which were implemented prior to the housing and junction. In order to maintain on street parking capacity at current levels it is practicable to extend the length of parking bay to the east of Millenium Drive which is further away from the junction by reducing the existing no waiting at anytime restrictions.
